Pinguicula laueana, discovered by Alfred Lau in 1978, hails from the Mixe Highlands of Oaxaca, Mexico. It is unique among butterworts for its red flowers, with leaves that range from dark green to a purple-red shade.
- Skill Level: Easy.
- Light: Min 1 hour direct sun, max all day.
- Water: Fill tray, keep in water at all times.
- Dormancy: Succulent phase with smaller leaves in winter, reduce watering by half allowing tray to dry between watering's for max 1 day.
- Pot Size Small 5.5cm.
- Pot Size Large 10cm.
