Collection: Cephalotus Follicularis - Australian Pitcher Plant
Australian Pitcher Plants, feature delicate, small, fuzzy, cup-shaped pitchers arranged in a circular pattern. These plants are naturally found in the mossy wetlands of the southwestern coast of Australia, specifically in the vicinity of Albany.
Their foliage consists of two types of leaves: narrow, pointed, lanceolate leaves that are more prevalent in the early spring, and the unique carnivorous traps. These pitchers, reaching up to 2" (5 cm) long, are positioned at a 45° angle and can display a rich burgundy or maroon hue. Their front end boasts a winged "ant runway" design, similar to that of Nepenthes.
