Collection: Drosera - Tropical Sundews

Tropical sundews represent a specialized branch of carnivorous plants, thriving in warm, humid rainforest environments without dormancy. These species have adapted to thrive in dappled forest light rather than intense sun. These rainforest specialists represent an evolutionary divergence from their sun-loving cousins, prioritizing adaptation to sheltered, moist tropical understories over heat tolerance.

The "Three Sisters of Queensland" exemplify this group: Drosera adelae displays lance-shaped leaves, Drosera prolifera features kidney-shaped foliage and a distinctive "walking" growth habit via flower-stalk plantlets, and Drosera schizandra produces broad, heart-shaped leaves suited to deep shade. All three demand consistent warmth, high humidity, and consistent water to flourish.
