Pinguicula grandiflora is commonly known as the large-flowered butterwort. They are native to parts of Europe; such as France, Ireland, Spain and Switzerland. It's flower is much larger than the other temperate butterworts. They are made to handle very cold winters well, living in peat bogs or often clinging to vertical rock faces where water flows.The leaves are covered with a film of glue produced by specific glands.
- Skill Level: Medium.
- Light: Min 1 hour direct sun, max all day.
- Water: Fill tray, keep in water at all times.
- Dormancy: A bulb will form below the soil surface in winter, reduce watering to half the normal tray level.
- Pot Size 10cm (0.75L).
