Pinguicula grandiflora, known as the large-flowered butterwort, is represented here by a specimen from the Pirineos, Valls d'Andora, at 1730m elevation. This species inhabits cold temperate regions marked by harsh winters. It typically grows in peat bogs or adheres to vertical, water-slick rock faces. Its leaves are coated with a sticky secretion produced by specialized glands, aiding in prey capture.
