Sarracenia oreophila var. oreophila - 'Giant Form, Red Under Lid In Autumn' - Green Pitcher Plant

Sarracenia oreophila, also known as the Green, or Mountain Trumpet pitcher plant, is highly resilient and capable of surviving extreme cold, withstanding drops to -18°C. Its pitchers, reaching up to 60cm tall, are produced during early spring and summer and are well-suited for snowy, mountainous environments. This species is the most endangered North American Pitcher Plant.

• Skill Level: Easy.
• Form: Giant Form, Red Under Lid In Autumn.
• Light: Min 3 hours direct sun, max all day.
• Water: Fill tray, keep in water at all times.
• Dormancy: New leaves stop forming during the colder months and old leaves will slowly die off.
• Pot Size 15cm (2L).

Please note some Sarracenia are very large in size and leaves will have to be bent or cut down to fit in smaller boxes. Leaves grow quickly so you don't need to worry about losing some.

• Bare root option is available to save on shipping, as the pots are 2kg each. Please message me if you wish to go this route, but take note you need special soil types to replant on arrival as they live in moss or peat, not potting soil.
