Proboscidea Louisianica, also known as the The Devil's Claw, has large lobed leaves covered in sticky nectar. In the summer, it produces clusters of flowers that are lilac with purple spots. This annual is from southern USA and Central Latin America.
These plants can only be sent as seedlings. They are annuals, meaning they only live one season, so they grow extremely fast to get full size before winter, generally making a few seed pods before the end of the season.
- Protocarnivorous Plant (catches but doesn't eat them).
- Type: Easy.
- Light: Min 3 hours direct sun, max all day.
- Water: Treat as a garden plant.
- Normal potting soil, transfer into a 20cm (or larger pot) as soon as your receive it.
- Dormancy: Fast growing annual, they will die in Winter so collect seed and sow in spring.
- Pot Size Large 10cm (0.75L).
