Description
Nepenthes truncata, a species found in the Philippines, has a reputation for consuming entire rats. These fascinating plants are characterized by their massive pitchers, reaching up to 35cm in height, with sloping mouths and noticeable wings. The outer surface of the pitcher is typically green and smooth, while the interior is speckled with red. One striking feature is the pronounced peristome.
