Description
Nepenthes justinae is a tropical climbing pitcher plant endemic to a single mountain peak in the Philippines. It is distinguished by characteristically bulbous lower traps that swell prominently at the base before tapering sharply toward a smooth, glossy peristome. This species naturally inhabits both forest floor and epiphytic environments within mossy tree canopies, where it has adapted to ultramafic soils rich in heavy metals and consistently wet montane conditions. Its dual growth habit and specialized soil tolerance make it a fascinating specimen.
