Drosera pycnoblasta is a pygmy sundew native to the arid areas of southwest Western Australia. This species is notable for its dense bud covered in white scales, an adaptation that helps it withstand hot, dry environments. Its circular leaves are adorned with vivid red tentacles. The flowers are relatively large, featuring white to pale pink petals marked with red spots near the base, and occasionally presenting six petals instead of the typical five.
