Drosera pulchella - Red Purple Form (Big Brook, Channybearup, Australia) - Pygmy Sundew

Drosera pulchella is native to the coastal regions of south-west Western Australia. It features a compact rosette of traps with wide lime green petioles and orange traps, its long tentacles making it easily identifiable.

They maintain their traps throughout the year and thrive in sunny, humid conditions. Their colourful flowers, blooming in mid-summer, come in a variety of shades including white, pink, orange, and red.

• Skill Level: Easy.
• Light: Min 5 hours direct sun, max full sun.
• Water: Fill tray, keep in water at all times.
• Dormancy: In the colder months they reproduce through gemmae (mini plantlets) which can be removed through soft touch. Each one will create a new plant.
• Transplanting: Do not attempt to repot pygmies as they won't survive.
