Drosera latifolia, commonly known as the Broad Leaf Sundew, is naturally found and commonly found throughout the Brazilian highlands. This low-growing, compact, rosette-forming sundew features striking dark red coloration when exposed to full sun. Its beauty is surpassed only by its ease of cultivation. As it is subtropical plant, it is evergreen year round.
Sowing instructions:
- Sow on top of growing media, either peat of sphagnum can be used.
- Ensure good airflow too prevent mould growing on the surface of the media.
- Keep pot in bright lights to full sun.
- If sowing after spring ensure the pot stays warm (like in the house) through Autumn and Winter to ensure you don't lose your seedling before they establish themselves as plants.
- Keep the pot standing in water at all times so the seed/seedling don't dry out.
- Temperature: Min 15°C
- Harvested 2024.
